home previous page	Medical Examinations   The doctors provide medical examinations for a variety of non-NHS purposes. These include medicals for driving, including HGV and taxi medicals, for insurance companies, for sports such as diving, pre-employment medicals and those done on behalf of Social Services for such things as adoption and fostering. For many of these a fee is payable by the person being examined. Please check the cost of this when you book your medical. Often special forms are needed for a medical and it is important to check that the doctor has these before you attend. If the forms are not available, the medical cannot be completed.
